December 24, 2022 - Needs air, after which it's quite wonderful. Not your typical bordeaux: this is more a cab franc than anything, with the expected milder tannins, lighter body and subdued fruit. Still very well balanced earth & fruit elements. A lot going on for what is a rather low-key wine. Wouldn't pair this one with a heft steak but it was great with the lighter food we had it with.

March 10, 2020 - A lighter year, a bit thin, fully developed, overpowered by the filet mignon with truffle sauce. Still a nice wine.

December 29, 2018 - Decanted for an hour. A hint of bacon fat on the nose followed by spearmint and tobacco. The ripe red fruit I noticed on the palate last bottle (Jan 2017) is much more subdued. The wine is elegant and subtle. I enjoyed this bottle more than the last one, and I’d say it is as good as it’s going to get but no rush to drink.
