March 23, 2014 - Notes of smoke, rock, dark cherry, palate is still quite austere and tannins are quite bitter and overpower the finish

February 14, 2014 - Enjoyed a touch better than the last bottle and feel this is on an upward path of evolution, there a nice plum, cherry, smoke and rocks on the nose similar palate with a nice black raspberry addition. Seems to tighten around the mid palate which robs the finish

August 6, 2013 - A more structured style of Franc Mayne. This is still youthful. In fact, a few more years will add softness to the truffle, smoke, mineral and fresh cherry filled, charming, finesse styled wine.

January 26, 2009 - Grand Crus de Bordeaux Tasting: 2005 & 2006 wines (NYC, The Lighthouse, Pier 60, Chelsea Piers): Just so-so. Might be better if tasted in a quiet place, over dinner. 2005 was much better.
