January 14, 2023 - Quite possibly the best chardonnay I've had in 2 years. Shows a bit of everything. Supporting oak with touches of matchstick and toast. Green mineral tinged fruits. Melon, faint lime. A 10yr cellaring option? Wonderful.

October 16, 2022 - Quite shockingly bad! Must be a bad bottle after my experience of previous vintages.

April 2, 2022 - Insane value, as ever. Fresh style (12.5%), and leaner than previous vintages, but doesn't sacrifice a juicy peach fruit element. Drink over next 5 years. I had the '16 at the weekend and it had developed wonderfully, so no rush to drink this.

N: Cut peach flesh, buttered apricot, plump. Cut with subtle reductive side - waxed lemon, steel, tart lemon curd.

P: Play between fruit/richness and brisk structure. White peach and peack skin. Direct lemon and lemon peal, flinty, puckering high acid. Savoury sourdough background.

F: subtle bitter pastry with apricot preserve, vanilla bean.

Alex and Misha dinner party at ours.

November 7, 2021 - Tons of struck match. Beyond that there’s creme brûlée. But way too young, or needs tons of air.

July 25, 2021 - Gunpowder and citrus nose, very balanced and very stylish. More in the direction of White Burgundy than Chablis, 12.5 % alc, this an elegant and supple wine, classic flavors that are integrated and lingering.
