January 15, 2021 - Very interesting bottle of wine! This is not at all full bodied, it's lite, a see through cherry color, almost watery, not rich. Ugh, a medicinal nose.?.

Yet it drinks... Very Rich, like it's bigger...

The nose is NOT inviting, but the flavor counters that. Once on the palate, that's forgiven. Kinda Yum.

A lot going on here. Not a simple vin. For us, that in itself makes it a positive beverage, conversation-worthy.

No decant. Drank it over an hour with a beef Thai dish made by an ANGRY stir-fry chef. Ordered hot, but it showed up WAY beyond that... hot X two.

So a glass of milk was needed to cool & clear the palate.

OK, try again... Earthy. Green. Is it the Carignan? A grape unfamiliar to us, but we'll look for it to see...

What's here...?... Something worth talking about.

Wish we had our asiago, gouda, charcuterie... Yeah, this'd likely hit 90 if accompanied...

OK, we're going back to dissecting...

We'll see how day 2 is...

    Be well...
