November 24, 2023 - Bought in France in 2022. Oxidative in style, smooth, complex, apricot flavours, balanced acidity, good length. Unctuous. Certainly not fresh! Drinking well now but I don’t think I’d keep it much longer.

March 10, 2022 - 12.5% alcohol. Sem 55%, Sauv making the balance save for a touch of Muscadelle. The long cork breaks at extraction, leaving the last quarter in the neck; easily extracted by the usual device of inserting the screw at an angle.
The colour is dark, like a very young Cognac, certainly deep enough to cause concern.
The nose is free of oxidative notes at first, but these develop eventually with time in the glass, and since I am writing this note after the meal, I cannot report accurately on the earlier state of this bottle, except to say that for a while it was at that magical stage where a faint whiff of oxidation actually adds to the complexity of the wine. Yellow fruit and verbena. Very enjoyable over a 45mn period, and a perfect match for red mullet.
Drink up and enjoy soon. -

January 15, 2021 - Past it unfortunately. We previously loved this wine. This was a lost bottle in our cellar

October 7, 2018 - By the glass. Honeyed notes of white flowers. Everything a bit obvious. In the mouth I like that saline touch, almost rusty. Very Rioja-like. To be enjoyed rather sooner than later.
Por copas. Melosas notas de flores blancas. Todo un poco obvio. En boca me gusta ese toque salino, casi oxidado. Muy al estilo de los buenos riojas blancos. Para ser disfrutado más bien antes que después. -

July 17, 2017 - Deep yellow colour with an intense nose of white flowers, white peach and amaretto. The palate is silky and builds up. Great length and beautiful touch from the aged Semillon. Has developped very beautifully. Pleased to have still a few bottles in the cellar to follow its evolution.
