October 12, 2021 - Nana's Chenin truly is an impressive wine. The variety is famous for its origins in France's Loire Valley. It is also quite successful in South Africa, and in California. Nana proves here that when irrigation and canopy management are properly done, the variety can shine in the scorching hot Negev Desert, as well. Very pale yellow color. On the nose, notes of fresh ripe quince, tangerines, black tea, and lemongrass. Light to medium-bodied, lively, tart, with on the palate quince, lime, lemongrass and orange zest with hints of green tea, minerals, medium-plus acidity, and a long, refreshing finish with lingering notes of Meyer lemon. Delightful. 13.2% Abv. Drink now. 91
