  October 9, 2013 - Dark purple color. Black and blue fruits on the nose along with some black pepper and some charred oak. A touch of heat also coming through on the nose. Blueberry jam flavors on the palate along with a good helping of toasty, vanilla oak and some chocolate on the back end. Medium acid, medium+ tannins with a big mouthfeel and smooth creamy finish. I enjoyed this wine but it was slightly over oaked for me.

  June 14, 2009 - Terrific syrah, full of lush dark fruit, bright, juicy, great acidity that contributes to a nice finish; Will be interesting to watch this vineyard as it gains some age, and hopefully some more complexity to add to the brilliant fruit. Not finding a lot of oak on the wine, a good thing which I hope they keep in check in future vintages.

  November 5, 2008 - Purple in color. Nose is intoxicating with meaty scents, dark fruit and smokey embers. The palate is so nicely balanced with dark berry fruit, licorice, smoke and meaty. It is long and complex with a combination of the fruit and a savory sensation. A terrific bottle of wine.

  April 10, 2008 - Pretty damn good. Nose shows a whole cluster signature of menthol and black olive. Palate of blueberry, chocolate and charcoal. Medium weight.
