June 23, 2019 - Dinner party of 8. All sampling. Bottles re-corked at Chateau 1997. Pristine bottles, top neck, full amber color. No decanting. Out of the gate, dark brown sugared raisins. 1/2 hour later molasses singed pineapple, citrus fruits. Medium bodied, caramel nutty finish. A very good drink. Still see good life ahead. Re-corking adds a certain longevity.

August 1, 2015 - Rare Wine Dinners: Bordeaux 1926-1975 (Bentley Restaurant, private dining room): Again we are treated to a bottle in pristine condition, even given its age. The nose is so expressive - apricot, orange rind, bees wax, creme brûlée. Wow. Outstanding mouth feel, and length to burn. Tremendous.

May 26, 2013 - Richter Raritäten Degu (Restaurant Farnsburg, Switzerland): Two people who had had this before that this was "tinsy tiny bit corked" but I thought that it was still spectacular, so I nevertheless write a note that is not flawed, so if you get a mint condition bottle you should be able to get a much higher score.

This had apricots, saffron, cane sugar, beeswax, vanilla and the trademark crème brûlée botrytis. Much sweeter than the Climens 1921 it was something that I just loved drinking...
