Community Tasting Notes 6

March 31, 2017 - At the "Earth" tasting.

Medium/dark ruby color. Nose of blackberry, dark cherry, earth notes. Palate of red fruits, cherry, spice and some oak. A bit hollow through the mid and back palate...lacking in finish. Nice enough and fun to drink but past its prime. I am a big fan of Bethel's wines, maybe vintage specific that the 05 has not lasted?

November 26, 2013 - Nicely done, but not memorable.

August 15, 2012 - Very nice. Has lost some of it's youthful punch, but has traded it for elegance. Drink now. Still lots of dark fruits...blackberries and dark cherries. Good acidity so great with food. Nice long finish.

November 21, 2007 - Splendid Oregon Pinot. Full bodied and dark cherry in color. Wonderful aromas and flavors of blackberries, cherries, earth and floral. Creamy in texture and a good long finish. Flavors were very concentrated and the mid-palate brought on a touch of wood and spice. I really enjoyed this wine. Should age nicely.
