April 2, 2015 - 14.5% alcohol. This wine is still supremely youthful. Dark color, which is characteristic of this vineyard. Dusty cherry nose, with a brooding quality still about it, with plum lurking behind it. In the mouth, serious intensity. Strong fruit, but also huge acidity and tannins. This will make old bones. I'd leave it another 2-3 years minimum. A-

December 1, 2011 - I popped this after opening a past it 2003 Trenton Estate. This wine is drinking very well now, and on this evidence the drinking window should extend for a few more years for well stored bottles. Dark and brooding, it looked like a pinot from the Santa Rita Hills rather than the Russian River. On the nose there was noticeable aroma of spicy dark cherry, leather and herbs. The wine had a nice medium weight mouth feel, with dark berries, plums and hint of strawberry cola. The finish was persistent with good staying power and little evidence of heat. I liked this wine, its not the most delicate pinot but the flavor profile was interesting, with good balance and structure.

January 5, 2011 - My system (nose mouth finish) ///, kind of ripe big black fruits with some cranberry and raspberry. A little heat and va poke through. I have several bottles and will update as I taste it again. Was a little better night 2 witch leads me to believe it may need some more time.
