November 21, 2020 - Blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot. The perfumed, medium-high intensity nose offers lovely currant, cassis, herbal, and olive aromas with well-integrated oak and touches of graphite and cherry compote adding further interest. It's full-bodied on the smooth palate with dark berry, mild oak spice, and herbal flavours supported by balanced acidity and smooth, velvety tannins. Well-balanced throughout with salty mineral notes arriving on the mid-palate, joined by wood spice, savoury earthy, and chocolate notes that linger on the long, smooth and juicy finish.

August 20, 2020 - This is a fasting note from the second day open: aromatic nose filled with crushed graham crackers, black currants, wood smoke/charred oak and spice. Medium-full bodied, this has a fantastic structure as well as abundant freshness and acidity. Much more remiscent of Cru Borgeious Bordeaux than California. Lovers of Napa Cab will likely find this too “thin and dry”, but lovers of balance and freshness will adore! This will probably be at its best in a year or two, but my 2+ decades experience with this wine inform me it will reach age 12-15 and sing! 91.
