May 12, 2018 - More earth than fruit, still holding up well enough, especially when first popped and poured.

December 19, 2017 - Mature red fruit with plenty of earth. Acidity is slightly too pronounced, but still an enjoyable glass of wine. Best when initially popped-and-poured, then less interesting 2 hours later. Time to drink up.

    November 11, 2017 - Slightly corked

February 10, 2013 - Identical to the bottle opened last month. Some heat damage suspected. Drinkable but nothing more.

January 16, 2013 - Quick TN. Popped and poured. Immediately on the nose I suspect some heat damage. Smells pruney and a bit port like. Same comes through on the palate. With air some tomato skin comes to the forefront. Not horrible but not good. On day 2 it is very tomato-y. Blech.

(Voillot Bourgogne Rouge Vieilles Vignes) This was a big dud. Green, mean, tart, tannic and acidic. Really just evil wine and not in a good way. Around every ten sips you thought it was going to come around but it never did it just went into a darker hole. It's weird as his Volnay 1er Cru "Champans" was out of this world. Live and learn.
