July 19, 2023 - Blackberry , black cherry and earthy minerality with some tobacco and mocha. Silky tannins and a decent finish. Either decant for 5 hours or wait until 2025 to drink.

January 27, 2023 - A Christmas gift. Dark ruby fruit - currants, blackberry, and dark cherry. As usual, fruit forward and fairly rich. Smooth mid-palate with solid depth/concentration - medium plus body. Nice rich/vibrant flavors of cassis, cocoa, and some spice. However, I thought the finish was somewhat lacking - fairly short/not much depth. Decanted for one hour and drank over a couple more. Not much improvement with time but drinking well despite its youth. As usual, an enjoyable wine but not the best QPR - I expect more at this price point. In my opinion, in line with the 93 rating from WS. 88% cab sauvignon, 7% malbec, and 5% petit verdot.
