December 30, 2023 - Lyon Holiday Open House (Where Else?): After the Chenin, this was a nice palate relief! Green apple, pear, lemon curd, melon and stones ride a much fuller texture. Balanced structure. Now-2028.

October 26, 2023 - Tasted from winelist at 1856 Culinary Residence at Auburn. Golden straw colored, medium to full-bodied with creamy texture, complex concentrated pear, white peach and yellow apple fruits with notes of honeydew and wet stone and hints of citrus, hazelnut, butterscotch on a crisp acidic lingering finish. Delicious.

October 19, 2023 - PnP, consumed over 3 hours. Appearance: Clear, medium lemon. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity with developing aromas of lemon peel, pear, tropical fruit - mango & guava, and saline with subtle licorice notes - very complex and ever changing. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, medium+ body with a slightly creamy mouth-feel, medium+ intensity, 13.6% abv with developing flavors of lemon peel, pear, mango, and saline with a medium+ finish.

    Balance: Excellent
    Length: Excellent
    Intensity: Excellent
Complexity: Outstanding - every swirl & sniff and every taste seemed to reveal something new

This wine tells me Chardonnay from Willamette deserves a seat amongst the best in the world. Wonderful wine hitting on all cylinders, drinking well upon opening but still several years from peak. Can drink now, better in 1-2 years and for 5+ years beyond.

October 14, 2023 - This bottle didn't have as much depth and finish as my notes from the bottle 6 months ago indicated -- might be a little past its prime, or at least given that our basement isn't perfectly controlled as a wine cellar, may not be as optimal. Still quite nice, yes, but had lost something compared to the first bottle.
