September 10, 2023 - Drank over almost 2 weeks - mostly as a dessert topping for vanilla gelato. Almost too much to drink more than a sip or two on its own. Thick in the extreme and completely palate coating. Brown sugar, molasses, dates, and figs all in one, with some salinity and acidity to balance it. Amazing flavors, but not for the meek.

May 14, 2020 - Very dark, oily, like a PX. Coffee, dates, figues, chocolate, sweet spices. Extremely rich, very powerful and long. Very sweet but also some refreshing acidity.

March 28, 2010 - No official notes (and I'm kicking myself for it). I bet this would have been 95+ for me. Just an awesome wine. When poured it actually oozed out of the bottle. It looked like maple syrup. Powerful aromas of caramel and nuts. We consumed it traditionally: dipping our cantucci into the wine. We may have been in Arizona when we drank this, but it sure felt like we were in Montepulciano.

May 6, 2009 - Dalla Terra Tasting (CT): I don't usually like Vin Santo, but this was something else. Just an amazing experience. Unbeliebably rich, with a finish that never ends. Wow! 95-96

December 16, 2007 - Beautiful dark amber color, bordering on brown/chocolate color. The aroma was insane and almost impossible to describe; it literally filled the room. Just an incredible joy to sit and breath in this beauty. Huge, ultra-dense, viscous, mouth-filling, mind-blowing palate. What impressed us the most about this wine was, with all of its extremes, it was still a very true vin santo. It was not 'toffee' or 'ice cream topping' like Suckling described it - it was simply the best vin santo we have ever had the pleasure of drinking. Oh, and the finish...I could still taste it when we went to bed!
