July 18, 2023 - @ Manhatta New York. For me WOTN. Classic VR rose bouquet, classic Madame concentration. Darker than Macondo oil spill. Smooth, lingering long finish, drank a lot younger than 28 years old. Awesome.

May 18, 2022 - Dark brick red in color. Aromas of sour cherries, sandalwood, dark florals, forest-floor and spices dominate the nose. A structured palate shows perfumed sweet-tart-savory red berries, hint of sautéed mushrooms, medium acidity, and a spice and earth dominated finish.

February 4, 2021 - Quite a disappointment. Foursquare and quite tannic still. Just not as elegant and unlikely to evolve any further. Drink up.

April 27, 2016 - At Fourways Inn Bermuda. P & P. For a brief time, a heady floral perfume, but dumb to taste. Then a thin highly alcoholic nose, and a disjointed somewhat tannic and acidic palate. Did not improve after 40 minutes. I think it had at some stage been poorly stored - proper storage is essential in this climate. We sent it back. Disappointing.

September 23, 2014 - Medium purple/red color. Aromas of red plums, mulberry, underbrush and spices. Ripe, high acid fruit in the mouth with excellent structure, depth and length. Very persistent and nervy on the palate. Amazingly youthful at 19 years of age, this wine took at least an hour to reveal its charms. Try again in 10 years?!!
