October 27, 2023 - Burgundy WIMPS #170 27th October 2023 (La Trompette, Chiswick): Toasted nuts, some lemon pith and hints of marzipan. Palate has all of the above with some subtle flecks of ginger. Later there is a real bread and butter pudding quality with dried fruits, some creaminess and some sourdough notes. One of my Champagnes of the year so far. Excellent and so glad added to the running order.

March 3, 2023 - Joel's Tuscan Lunch (The wilds of Kent): From Magnum.
Tangy but waxy lemon. Good fullness and long finish. Soft mousse.
    Rather nice

March 3, 2023 - Joel's Tuscan Lunch (A farmhouse in leafy Kent): Magnum. In a nice place: balanced acidity, comforting, not hugely demonstrative, structured enough yet retaining a sense of elegance. With more time in the glass the nose developed some lovely floral notes. We all relished this.

March 3, 2023 - Tuscan Lunch chez Joel (Kent countryside, UK): Magnum. Pale yellow in colour with nose showing grapefruit, lemons and a little toast which flow on to the midpalate. Medium bodied and very crisp with fine bubbles and no shortage of acidity and could pass as a BdB. I believe its 15% Pinot Meunier, 15% Pinot Noir and 70% Chardonnay with 8.5g/L dosage. Very nice and one could imagine a great match with sea food.

January 13, 2023 - 70% chardonnay, 15% pinot meunier, 15% pinot noir. Gjæring og lagring på 228 liters fat. Ikke malolaktisk gjæring. Rik men frisk, pen mineralitet, kremete, nesten mot kokos. Melne epler. Rik også i munnen. Typeriktig for produsenten. Det er litt å hente på lagring aromatisk, men smaksmessig fremstår den drikkeklar.
