March 16, 2024 - PNP. Very very deep ruby magenta color. Blackberry, blueberry jam, and subtle chocolate. Dry, sandy, full bodied, slightly chalky palate. Firm, full, medium intensity tannins on the longish finish.

It took a few years, but I think this is now drinking in prime time. It’s nearly all fruit, but it’s pure (not at all extracted). The peak should last for a few years now.

February 27, 2023 - The 2018 Sacred Burro is the Paso-expression of Carignan at its best. Beautiful notes of plum, lavender, and cherry on the nose. On the palate it’s medium to full bodied with a pleasant mouth-coating viscosity revealing floral and cherry notes and a long finish. Bravo!

January 28, 2023 - Nice medium bodied full flavored wine. Got heavier through the night.
