Community Tasting Notes 1

September 4, 2008 - Color (5/5): Ruby red-purple. Clear at very edges. Obviously a lighter wine. Nose (12/15): Cherry wood or woody cherry. Not a weak nose, but not one that rushes out of the bottle at you either. Palate/Finish (15/20): Light fruity dusty cherry and red fruit. A crescendo from entry to finish with tannins and some cherry cola with cocoa powder. After some open time, the mid-palate blooms and the finish is a noticeably bigger with dusty choco-cola. Potential (7/10): Not a very strong tannic structure, but obviously a well-made wine. May keep better than the tannic feel displays. All in all, a good high quality wine that will satisfy on its own or especially with northern Italian foods.
