December 8, 2022 - Tasted at the cantina with Giuseppe Cavallotto. From the center of the Bricco Boschis vineyard. Spent 5 years in old, large Slavonian oak botti and bottled 9 months ago (February 2022). Bright but dense garnet color. Lovely complex nose with spice, earth, porcini, truffle and ripe cherry dominating but also showing some smoky embers and light roses. Great structure for a very long life. Palate is rich, chewy, savory, very complex and layered. Despite the prodigious tannin it has a great texture. So balanced, energetic and elegant. Beautiful wine that may shut down soon and I would not open a bottle for at least another 5-8 years.

November 28, 2022 - Far too young but one day this will be unbelievable. Power, structure, depth, breadth - everything. The perfume is captivating, great fruit weight that will carry it through the decades it needs to tame those tannins and come into balance.

July 1, 2022 - Pronounced intensity, tar, earth, coffee, chocolate, dried roses, red fruit, cherry, pomegranate. Fruit is not the centerpiece, but rather a supporting character of the deeper notes at play. Long long finish, very intense (especially after drinking 1987 and 1994 Cali Cabernet), this has the structure to age much much longer. But this is not killing a baby right now, as it is already a joy to drink - but this may close down at some point. A complex and deep Barolo, just amazing! Surely wine has potential to grow with age. 95+ pts
