January 16, 2022 - Pronounced nose of canned cranberry sauce and new leather. Palate is dry with green, astringent tannins and tart fruit notes of cherry, pomegranate, cranberry and oak spice. Punchy acidity. Unique but not my style.

May 29, 2021 - Old vine nose with tobacco and earth. Tart cherry, a little plum, short finish. Could have decanted longer and served warmer than 60 degrees.

May 27, 2020 - Nose has fruit: dark grape and plum. Palate is bright, almost tart. Then the spice: fragrant wood, leather. I haven't tasted this kind of wine in a long time, and I miss it. Refreshing and oaky; layered but not heavy. Day 2 is still bright but less oaky. Fewer layers of flavor, but the right ones for a spicy dinner.
