December 27, 2013 - Drinking very well. Give it some air, and you will be rewarded for your patience.
Venturi pour into a wide bottomed decanter, and then gave it an hour plus to breathe. This left a really nicely balanced, nuanced wine. Good dark fruits, a hint of jam, and that characteristic Rutherford dust.
Those tannins that are often present in younger Sullivan wines, have mellowed at this point. Leaving a really nicely balanced wine. If you have these in your cellar it's time to pour them. -

February 19, 2012 - Nicely integrated. Lots of fruit, a little sous bois, nice structure, silky tannins. This is drinking incredibly well.
