June 26, 2022 - Dark ruby red in color with sight clearing at the edges. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & cassis with overtones of floral & earthy/dusty notes, spices, herbs, minerals, cocoa & a slight hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium-full bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & plums with spices, herbs, minerals & a slight hint of oak/vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & airing but at 17 years of age it appears to be at the pinnacle of its' development. Although it may hold here for a few more years if properly stored, I doubt any further development would occur.

January 21, 2021 - Cassis on the nose on arrival, even more so the next evening. Deep, dark, brooding wine. Fabulous dark berry fruit. Pleasant acidity. Wood, well integrated yet discernible. This is a lovely wine. I will drink my last bottle within a year or three.

May 23, 2020 - Didn’t have great hopes for this, once again something lying in the wine cellar grabbed for a spur of the moment bottle “ need a red! let’s try the last one of these” fantastic cab sauv wish I had a case left! Fruit, wood, tannins, lovely stuff 90 points +1 for how youthful this tastes!
