March 3, 2024 - This is a truely delicious specimen of Bordeaux. While most vintages of this wine thus far have been classic in style, this one is the most modern out of the bunch that I have tried. Lots of blue notes coming off the top of the glass, but the appearance is definitely red fruited. Blueberry, cocoa dust, vanilla, creme, floral attributes and a cashmere like finish that pulls for a long 45 seconds+. This will be a head bender in time and delicious to drink now for the California drinker and the impatient. I suggest a big HOLD_

January 13, 2024 - The wine is incredible intense. Is it over extracted? The nose is shy compared to the mouthfeel and taste of intense black coffee flavor. Is it sexy or too much? Depends on what you want and expect. How will that age? In my opinion it will not turn into complexity, rather than stay one dimensional. 93 Points.

December 15, 2023 - 15% ABV. Medium ruby appearance. Followed over 2 hours. Drank side-by-side with the ‘16 vintage for comparison.

Notes of high-octane black fruit, nutmeg, dark chocolate, tobacco leaf, smoke, truffle. No surprise that tannins are still very present and needs time to round out. Acidity level just enough to hold up to the density of fruit. Alcohol is barely detectable and well-integrated at 15% ABV. The finish really shines on this and seemingly endless.

I’m a big fan of the depth, concentration, and palate authority that this displays. This was much more expressive on the palate than the nose. Compared to the ‘16 (or any vintage prior), the ‘19 Feytit Clinet is definitely a step toward modernity with its richer profile and fruit-forwardness. In its best moments, I sensed a similar (and maybe even higher) level of greatness that I am starting to find with the ‘16s. However, I’m generally finding this a bit austere right now and it needs more time to shed its baby fat + develop further nuance. Can’t wait to see the ceiling this will hit further down the road.

December 13, 2023 - Sleek, sexy, and seductive in a wine kind of way of course. Finesse for sure, primary as expected. Tightly coiled high pitched blackberry fruit. It doesn't have the structure and plush mouth feel of the '16 that I loved.

November 29, 2023 - Very big dissapointment. I thought I was in for a hedonistic experience, but the wine was kind of boring, flat, and frankly quite inexpresive. Was it bad ? No, it was just 3-5 points below of what I was expecting. I was expecting a Napaesque style of Bdx but found nothing like that. The wine was decanted 3 hours but maybe it needs much more because I never experienced that fully open stage. I have 2 cases left, I am hopeful it will deliver a better experience in the future. BTW, of the 6 tasters 5 had it last in the lineup and 1 had it as WOTN.
