August 3, 2020 - This wine is tasting pretty good right now !! The cork broke, but I was able to extract; not unexpected after at least 15 years in the bottle. Consumed over two days. Popped and poured showing dark fruit on the first day and on day two the wine had softened with increased depth and integrated complexity. Very dark red color with no to no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of cherry vanilla, licorice, and glycerin. Flavors of black cherry cola, raspberry framboise, and leather. A medium to long finish on this balanced and flavorful Syrah. This age worthy wine has a few more years of life left.

March 5, 2011 - Big flavors of white pepper, great on the nose. this has opened up nicely with 30 minutes of decanting.

January 18, 2010 - This seemed a bit more oaky and monolithic than the last bottle. Very good fruit and texture, but seemed a bit heavily extracted and heavily oaked, but certainly not jammy. Great fruit that showed through at times and i believe could have spoken for itself, but seemed over manipulated and oak-hidden. heavy coffee notes. Take some blackberry liqeur and mix it with a mocha frappachino. Still good if you are oak tolerant. May be better with another 1-2 years. 88-89.

May 24, 2009 - Very nice wine. Mollasses, dark fruit, moderately oaky, a bit of charcoaL. Pretty impressive. Great QPR on closeout. This has several years left. Still fairly big, and balanced. Only additional complexity holds back the rating further. Nice stuff. Tastes like a $30-40+ bottle no doubt.
