March 26, 2024 - Savoury with cassis fruit, supported by firm tannins. Elegant and well-balanced, this developed a pleasing length on a dry finish. Still a “babe in arms”, there’s plenty more to go with a long future ahead. CHP 91pts

March 2, 2024 - lots of leafy stuff, tobacco and veggies, blackcurrant and black cherry, a little leather and acrid white flowers, a little vanilla, clove and black pepper too (oak spice)... firm and grippy, quite tense, rather clenched, dark fruit resides within, and it is fresh and lively, but it's definitely not ready. Tart and tannic on the finish, super classic, needs red meat or 5 to 10 years in the bottle.

February 22, 2023 - 1st bottle from a small batch of 2019 Bordeaux delivered from Tanners, compared with a Montaiguillion and a Puygueraud. The Cissac stands out as still austere with firm tannins and needs more time, compared to the Montaiguillion with its high proportion of Merlot that makes it a very appealing mouthful right now. The Puygueraud is somewhere in between with structure and fruit. The other Bordeaux in this tasting was an Ormes de Pez, costing twice as much as the other wines but immediately showing a classier structure. Great value and pleasure from Bordeaux.

December 26, 2022 - Deep Garnet color, fruit aromas were subtle at first and needed to decant (2 hours) to open up. It did unfold into a cherry cola-like aromas with leather and cedar notes. The wine has young briary black berry flavor and is developing nicely with supple dry tannins. Will need to age longer for complexity in the fruit . (58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and 8% Petit Verdot)

April 27, 2022 - Good wine for cru bourgeois. Solid. Slightly thin. Good after 2 hrs. Lacked complexity
