March 23, 2024 - This is something. So dark and inky. Cassis, raspberry jam, white pepper nose.

Hot but cut nicely with tannins, acid, cherry coulis, wood, stem and nutmeg, pipe smoke.

Lovely. My next will be opened in 4-6 years.

October 20, 2023 - This was way too good for a second wine, certainly
Above any other second wine I have tasted so far. Notes of Smokey dark berries, dark bitter chocolate, crushed violets, cigar box and sandalwood. The palate showed a wonderful purity of fruit, yet compared to to SHL there were additional layers of cedar, florals and crushed stones. The mid palate felt both layered yet structured in nature, fine tannins with a slightly spicy and long finish. I can only imagine what the Grand Vin is like. Refined

September 4, 2023 - Very floral and alluring on the nice. The pallet is elegant and highly pleasurable already. Great balance with cool blue and red fruits, subtle and delicate minerals and spices. Very polished. With aeration the wines gains more complexity and body. I really like this wine young for its fruit. Tasty. Very well made and highly pleasurable. Noble Bordeaux characteristics are apparent. Theire is substance for this wine to develop. I suspect short to mid term drinking will be fun all the way. Drink or hold.

June 28, 2023 - Pine-y, fresh cut, sweet spices, red fruits. On palate, tannin and acidity work well together, good finish. Cannot pin point what’s wrong but it doesn’t wow me. Interesting wine but at the end of the day, not great.

February 11, 2023 - Opened, poured into decanter, and left to breathe for 6 hours.

Smoke, gravel, almond, black cherry jam, and dark chocolate on the nose.

Palate is medium-bodied with quite fine tannins. I think the decant helped. Juicy black fruits, mainly cheries and berries. Dark chocolate-covered marzipan. More smoke and gravel.

Very good intro to the LMHB style. I think this represents good value at the price I paid ($60).
