  March 10, 2024 - Short decant. Black and blue fruits, earth, tobacco notes. Medium bodied with good balance. Smooth and slightly austere mid-palate. Powdery tannins and a medium length finish. Will likely improve with some age but this is very approachable now.

  March 1, 2024 - (40% Cabernet Franc, 60% Merlot, 14.5% Alkohol) Kräftiges Rubinrot. Die Nase ist expressiv und würzig, Brombeeren und Schwarzkirschen, ein Hauch Tabak, kühler Rauch, darüber florale Noten, mit mehr Luft auch rotfruchtige Aromen. Im Gaumen schlank, elegant, präzises, jedoch markantes Tannin, seidig mit der Frucht verwoben, sensationelle Säurestruktur, viel Frische und Würzigkeit im Abgang, rotfruchtige Rückaromen. Schon jetzt ein Gedicht, mit Reserven bis 2040+

  November 11, 2023 - Dark ruby hue. Notes of blackberry, blueberry, earthy, pepper, and strawberry. Medium-high tannins and acidity. Full-bodied with grippy tannins. Solid finish. 60 Merlot and 40 Cabernet Franc.

  November 26, 2022 - There are layers of black plums, dried herbs, leather, toasted aniseed and flowery note on the nose. Palate reflects the nose. Plush, fresh and concentrated, filling the entire mouth from entry to finish. Medium-bodied but it has the power and length to bring you through the palate. Lingering and rich finish. Already ready to drink with some decanting. Will continue to develop for next 3 years. 94-95 pts.

  July 3, 2022 - Showing better in the bottle than it did in the barrel, and it was already quite good in barrel, the wine pops with tobacco leaf, flowers, ripe red fruits, espresso, and thyme in the nose. Rich, fresh, vibrant, and with ample flesh and sweetness, the wine finishes with loads of sweet, ripe, dark red and black fruits. Give it a few years in the bottle, and it will really be rocking'! La Gaffeliere has really been on quite a roll since the 2015 vintage. Since 2015, each vintage seems to have gotten just a bit better, and 2019 clearly continues that trend. Drink from 2026-2050.
