Community Tasting Notes 8

May 18, 2015 - Nutty, slightly oxidative. Mature and balanced- interesting sweet green pea nose. Longish, nutty finish. This is nice but its best is probably past. I have had much better mature Mikulski whites. tasted in Meursault.

December 26, 2010 - Apple and lime on the nose. Elegant, good mouthfeel, acidity noticeable. Well-balanced, but doesn't really sing.

November 1, 2010 - Deep yellow. Hint of the 'pox'. If not very advanced. Gets worse with air. Round rich, nutty palate.

August 8, 2010 - Grand Blanc at Aquarelle French Restaurant (Austin, Texas): Disappointing for a Charmes, especially compared with the adjoining Comtes Lafon, it was initially quite tart and very acidic. It grew in the glass from being lean and flat, with flint and apple notes, to gaining a bit of weight after half an hour, with apple orchard and bubble gum on the nose and crisp apple and pear on the palate.
