April 12, 2024 - Two weeks in France; 4/12/2024-4/24/2024: Duroché 2017s are absolute knockouts. His wines can tend towards rustic at times but this vintage is all about elegance which I love. Seamless on the palate with dark red, slight spicy fruit. Impressive length and charm for its level.

April 5, 2024 - Typical Pierre. But oddly the 2018 shows better and more fwrd. Slightly dry finish but ample fruit and lift to carry it. Needs more time. I wonder if unlike other 17s it shut down and is now reawakening from slumber. Zalto Uni. Joyous bramble fruit on nose. Will score higher.

November 2, 2023 - Drinking very well, more integrated than the last bottle two years ago. Medium body, with pure, silky fruit. Tasty.

September 25, 2023 - This was a pop and pour at the restaurant. It needed a little bit of air to get going. As it did, it showed off an understated and nuanced side with dark red cherries, dark red berries, raspberries, fresh herbs, earth notes, violets, savory plums, and spice notes. The Medium bodied feel is lithe and balanced with crisp, medium+ acidity and silky, medium tannins. This is young, but it's super elegant. This is a real lovely Gevrey that could use a few more years to come together.

April 15, 2023 - This bottle is showing a surprising amount of oak on the nose. Palate is shut down also. A very strange showing for a 2017 Duroche.
