September 8, 2023 - Dark plums, mocha, violets. Beautifully ripened Grampians Shiraz fruit. Deft oak handling, completely unobtrusive. Puff of tannins. Lingering dark fruits. This is delicious. Drink or hold. (94 Excellent wine)

June 10, 2023 - NNT wine club, June 2023: Maturation comparison (Brisbane): Sweet blackberries and black cherry but with fresh acidity. Plush mouthfeel, decadent. Young but still very enjoyable drinking.

October 24, 2022 - Evolving, beautifully-defined aromas are a real highlight. Coffee, violets, cigar box - all my favourites. Classic cool climate Great Western shiraz, this is really only medium bodied. More floral and refined, less meaty and raw, than many previous SPs. Tannin very fine, slipping quietly under the surface. It will obviously age, but this is already giving plenty and not likely to do anything very interesting for quite some time under screwcap. (94 Excellent wine)

May 7, 2021 - Day one- quick note- extremely long, intense and fresh. Try again tomorrow. Herb (menthol), spice (pepper) and crunchy black and red fruit skins (red and black cherry). Not yet ready, wait 5 years.

    Day two update...
Drank with good friends and Wagyu against some very heavy hitters (inc 18 Standish Schubert). Was picked blind by one of our group. Is true to style, if not a very lean and muscular version of. Each taster commented on the crushed slate and graphite textire of tannin and aftertaste.

A touch more fruit forward on day two but it barely moved. This is a wine that will uncoil with time.

Outstanding now, with more to come. 95+
