March 31, 2024 - I would not age this further. Perfectly stored bottle since release faded fast. Enjoyable when first popped but not much length. Refined but slightly simple from what you would expect from this wine.

February 12, 2024 - Funky nose, honeysuckle, hard act to follow after a few delicious white Burgs, medium bodied, refined but a very middle of the road, hmm not exciting

November 25, 2023 - Bucket List tasting at Wijnkoperij Okhuysen: Second bottle of this vintage I've had this year. Where the 2012 and 2013 amazed me in their balance between luscious, playful fruit and taut structure, the 2014 seems to lack the 'fun' part.

There's already quite a few oxidation aromas; ripe apple and hazelnut. A hint of caramel and mineral tones. Abricot and puffed rice candy.

On the palate the wine is fresh with a generous, rolling acidity that persists in all directions and is really quite impressive. The wine is polished and fresh at the same time. Very refined.

A technically sound wine that just seems to lack the fruity magic of some other vintages for me.

September 30, 2023 - First time drinking high-quality aged Bordeaux blanc. Remarkable freshness/acidity still, with green apple (with slight browning on the edges), flint, subtle lychee perfume. Paired really well with dumplings in soy/ginger/garlic/vinegar/chili oil.

September 9, 2023 - Aired for three hours. Well balanced wine, fresh with a mineral backbone, hints of tropical fruit and honey. Worked well with baked salmon. In its drinking window. I Will drink my last bottle in the next 2-3 years.
