March 7, 2010 - Apparently unearthed from old inventory, this was a WL last feature bottle purchase. Respi-aerate to decanter and serve. Color ruby with darker tones of royal fuchsia, clear, medium-light body, zero sign of age. Modest nose of strawberry, rhubarb, touch of mineral, and white pepper. Straight-up light tart strawberries and young plum on the tongue, with mild minerality and gentle pepper shake in the background. Acid is medium-high and the tannins are quite firm on the back end relative to the lightness of fruit on the palate. The midpalate is rather hollow and the finish is short. True to other reviewer comment, this picked up weight on the last half of the last glass three hours later, revealing dried cherries with floral roses and white pepper in the finish, which was my favorite part. Overall OK lighter style CdV and an OK value, but I paid a little more than I should have at $9.

November 28, 2009 - Just like a strawberry twizzler, nice easy wine to drink. It was transparent, reddish pink color, with a nice finish. For the price of $6 I'm not sure you could pass up this table wine. It would be the wine to get people who are not red wine drinkers to switch. It's easy quaffing and not complicated. I would agree that it's a nice pizza wine. It was GV secret Christmas pak of 2008, episode #600.
