October 22, 2020 - Big, slightly roasted with some heat noted on the nose and palate. Quite concentrated, with nice depth and complexity--but the weight/heat detracts.

February 3, 2020 - I am immediately enveloped in a basket of hand picked blackberries. Reminded me of a succulent blackberry cobbler. Greeted with mortar herbs of eucalyptus, a sultry sprinkle of bakers confection, and creamy vanillin.
Only 15 mins into decanting, a punch of tart blueberries along with cassis, silky black plum and bing cherries drape down my mouth.
Eucalyptus shows up to coating my mouth with wax as I inhale a flavorful blend of pipe tobacco and soft worn dusty saddle leather grit.

September 3, 2017 - Pnp. Beautiful nose of dark cherries and blueberries. Some floral notes as well. Ultra soft and juicy in the mouth. Almost too much so at first. I don't know the makeup up of this but I would bet there is a healthy dose of merlot. Some spice kicks in at the end of a seamless finish. With about 45 minutes of air time this gained some much needed back end grip. Delicious and flavorful this got better and better with air. For those that want ultra fruity and super soft tannins jump right into this. For a bit of complexity and grip this needs more time or a decent dose of air.

July 20, 2017 - I would of guessed this to be an '05 or '06. A touch of color has faded. Extremely smooth wine with touches of coffee, dark chocolate, black fruit
