  April 15, 2018 - Decanted about an hour. Scents of black and red berry with a hint of herb. Matching flavor with addition of cured meats and eucalyptus (?). Nice balance, with decent tanin and acid on the finish.

  May 27, 2013 - Bright purple in color with aromas of toasted oak, vanilla, and red fruit. In the mouth, nice tannins with a good fruit finish.

  May 1, 2013 - This wine is not a pop and pour. First sip it is very very thin. Pop it in a decanter for 60 minutes and a totally different wine arrives in the glass. The tannins are well integrated and the wine has some silkiness to it. You taste a mix of oak, vanilla, dark currant and a touch of tobacco. I have 2 bottles left and I am going to hold off on consuming b/c they will only get better. I am still drinking the '98 and '00 Sterling Reserve C/S, and they are both quite good as well.

  May 28, 2012 - - Crimsom color with medium forming legs. It's balanced with a medium/full body. Oily texture with a medium finish.
