September 11, 2022 - Visual: vinho tinto, vermelho rubi, alos alaranjados, brilhoso, límpido.

April 25, 2022 - Ordered from the wine list in an Italian restaurant in NW WA on the strong recommendation of the Brazilian owner. Instead of the'17 Miolo CS Rsrv for 45, he urged me to move to this for 84 (the eventual charge was 72; his online list says 76, and he sells it off-premise for 38). As my first Brazilian wine, I was willing to give it a try. He insisted on decanting. Very dark purple; subdued blackcurrant nose; rich, dark fruits that complemented lamb ragu pasta, eggplant parmesan pasta, and pasta Puttanesca--but it never truly blossomed after 3h. Perhaps it was too young. Enjoyable experience overall, hoping for more impressive Braz wine another time. Quality, age, price: Notable.

August 14, 2020 - Despite the 15% alcohol it does not feel heavy, tannins and acidity are medium. Very dry. Soft fruit and some earthen flavors. Very balanced after 3 hours in the decanter. Does not feel such a young wine. Quality is very similar to Calicanto and fair for the price. This is probably the best wine I have had from Brazil so Kudos, but current comparisons to great old world wines are nothing more that wishful thinking.
