March 7, 2010 - Decanted for about 1 hour. Outstanding flavor with just the right tannins. Well balanced. I wish I had bought more.

April 1, 2009 - Dark hue purple red with nice violet rim. Comes a little hot on the nose, but giving off nice aromas of red and dark licorice. Nice thick juice with flavors of dark cherries. Would be difficult for me to think that this is Cabernet in a blind tasting. After a half-an-hour opened, very vibrant flavors, seemingly an aussie shiraz; maybe a second tear green pepper and celery, but more fruity than green, with a nice, nice structure enhanced by fine controlled oak. Acidity is quite beautiful. Again, the structure is in good balance with fruit and acidity, and it is delightful. All of this yields a nice long finish. Beautiful cherries. Nice oak. Wonderful acidity. Lingering finish. Pair with food.

November 22, 2008 - I normally am a fan of decanting. My recommendation would be to not decant this. Opened and poured two glasses, we let it sit for 15 minutes in the glass then drank, nose was subtle, some dark fruit, little else, on the pallet, we found this quite a bit better then last time. Plenty of cherry and raspberry, nice oak spice, moderate finish, the first glass was quite good. We then poured out the rest about 1.5 hours later. Now the tannins seemed to dominate, the fruit had faded and almost all that was left was the tannins and the oak. This seems backward from my previous tasting and the other notes so I don't know how to explain it. I'll drink the rest right away without decanting.

August 10, 2008 - Aired out for about an hour and paired well with Fillet Mignon on the grill. Deep purple in color (typical of Hanna), gentle to the nose with hints of oak, smooth feel and light spice finish. Will pick up more as we have not be disappointed with Hanna.

July 10, 2008 - Medium purple color with red berry and toasted oak nose. A nice drinking summer weight cab with good balance and firm tannins. Red cherry, vanilla, and spice that seemed to intensify and deepen after about three hours of air.
