August 6, 2020 - Fully mature. Rich black fruit complemented by spice, with excellent concentration, and a lovely, glycerined texture, especially on the finish. This bottle lacked complexity and verve, though -- something was missing, though I found no evident flaws.

Incredible nose and palate. Power in a silk glove. Beautiful

March 15, 2020 - The Last Supper (Before the Covid-19 Shutdown) (El Ideas): A big and bold nose of black fruit, toasted herb and oak spice. The palate has serious concentration and flavor. Rich and no signs of 20+ years of age. Big yet fresh and balanced.

March 15, 2020 - Last night before the COVID19 hard shutdown at El ideas.
Nice dark fruits with lots of spice and solid backbone. Probably would have benefited from a good decant. Just a touch firm, but offering up a lot of pleasure and complexity.

March 15, 2020 - Last Wine Dinner Before the Coronavirus Shutdown (EL Ideas - Chicago IL): Plenty of rich black fruit with both sweet and savory spice along with roasted meat, black pepper and impressive density. Not the most nuanced wine, but the finish goes on and on and on....
