Community Tasting Notes 5

November 6, 2022 - Citrus equaled with stone and even tropical fruit. There is a chalky minerality on the palate where the fruit on the nose is reinforced with the addition of pithy bitterness to the finish. Excellent acidity. A really lovely Sancerre.

September 29, 2022 - Aromas more associated with German Reisling, light petrol. Stone fruit is a common description and appropriate. Worth noting the mouth feel is significantly more hefty than other Sauvignon Blanc. Maybe a characteristic of the territory?

April 25, 2022 - Stone fruit, saline, dense. Will be interested to see where this goes with a bit of age

May 7, 2021 - International Sauvignon Blanc Day.
    Medium straw.
Nose is pretty funky. Not necessarily varietal. Leery, waxy lift. Maybe a hint of gooseberry as it opens. Honeysuckle. Dense not lifted. Fresh. Touch of citrus.
Palate is dry. Fresh acidity. Certainly phenolic. More leery than varietal.
Funky and complex. Not showy or old school.

April 29, 2021 - Opened in the bottle for a few hours. Really fantastic Sancerre that manages to be both opulent and lean. Ripe stone fruit, citrus, mineral, vanilla and saline. More savory and less bright than the Pascal (especially on the finish). Drinking great now after some air time.
