January 7, 2023 - Nice aromatics and dark fruit. Paired nicely with a fatty steak. Inky florals and blackberry, vanilla with rounded tannins. Will buy again.

October 28, 2021 - Screw cap. Ripe, black-blue fruited and spicy on the medium-high intensity nose with aromas of black cherry, peppery spice, plum, and bramble, with savoury and earthy undertones. It's full-bodied with very good concentration on the palate with delicious blackberry, cedary oak, boysenberry, and plum flavours supported by fresh, juicy acidity and woolly, finely textured, and slightly chalky tannins. Tangy black cherry, savoury, earthy, and cocoa notes linger on the finish, with excellent length.

    August 29, 2021 - 100% Petit Verdot? Give it a good 60-minute decant – no PnP here.

Dense, dark, tawny, spicy, mentholated - there's a substantial range of flavors on offer here. To me, it tastes more expensive & represents a good value.

However, let’s be clear: it’s not a delicate wine…it is in-your-face – a beast. Bring a knife to cut it – it’s loaded, with spicy oak sway.

Sure, I'd fancy a little more refinement – but if you are looking for something different, throw some grilled meat on & this will work.

April 3, 2021 - This is my 6th vintage of Pirramimma Petit Verdot (2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015), as it constantly delivers (all scored 90-91p) and is a rather rare grape variety.

1h decant, which was fine. Well integrated palate with sour black cherries, strong but smooth tannins, spices and olives. Once again quite interesting!
