March 14, 2024 - Green apples, plum, jam, licorice. In the palate, light spices, pepper, red fruit. Very very nice, could have kept a few more years.

May 15, 2022 - Pnp. Not showing much age in the glass with a clear garnet and just very slight bricking towards a clear rim. Dried fruit and rose petals on the nose, not a big fan of the palate which is showing borderline burned fruit and tar, medium tannins, not particularly long. Not my kind of wine, I guess 98 was a warm/hot vintage in Piedmont..

February 4, 2021 - Well made and mature. Red cherry with balsam wood and spice. Still pretty youthful.

May 29, 2019 - Very similar to previous note. Showed well and in a good place to drink now but perhaps lacks excitement. Certainly paled in comparison to the brilliant younger Accomasso drunk afterwards ***(*)

April 25, 2018 - At Flitch for Alex’s 30th. Decanted for an hour. A bit more modern in feel than I remember. Pretty and quite ripe cherry, leather, rich baking spice and some mint notes; not lacking power but attractively feminine in character. Maybe leave for another couple of years. ***1/2+
