Community Tasting Notes 5

February 17, 2024 - OK, I'm averaging about a bottle a year of this vintage and every one has been better than the last. The fruit is really deep on this with classic lanolin notes, flowers and a chalky base. The fruit edges up to, but doesn't cross, a tropical line. It's the density of it that creates that impression. The fruit seems to linger indefinitely on the palate. The oak is a feature here, not a bug, but if you're oak-phobic, you should either wait until it goes away (a recent 2012 showed little to none) or maybe head in a different direction.

April 17, 2022 - Jeune mais expressif et approchable! Délicieux
    Mineral, salin, citron/ agrumes, floral

May 29, 2021 - Agree with VLM below. Expressive and complex with good minerality, holding the Chenin Blanc acidity a bit in check.

….3 hours in, the wine stepped up another gear. Bigger nose and more rounded — yet still clearly defined — with citrus and quince marmalade. Buying more.

November 7, 2020 - Dense, deep, mineral driven yellow fruits. Flowers in a spring meadow with that haze of greenery around them and a beehive not far away. More reserved than the 2015 version of this but certain to be stunning. Might be my favorite white wine right now.
