Fruits mure à la fois compacte et très pure, c'est délicatement vert et légèrement poivronné. Bonne acidité, tannins présents mais délicats.
On retrouve cette signature Rougeard dans l'équilibre du fruit et de l’extrême finesse végétale. Cette bouteille est absolument magnifique !
Elle pourrait tenir tête a plusieurs millésime d'un Poyeux.

July 17, 2022 - Sunday hangout (and goodbyes) (Chicago, IL): This is quite excellent cabernet franc; in fact I might venture to say that it's better than the recent Rougeards that I've had. Generously fruited and more on the dark side of the spectrum, with just a modest amount of pyrazine here, this has a sweetness on the palate that I like, especially in combination with the herbaceousness of cabernet franc. The only dig here is the ugly Comic Sans on the label.

February 12, 2022 - I was very curious to try this and had to take a large coravin pour. I fear I have committed “wine infanticide” however and I only have 2 bottles! The wine is a bright yet opaque garnet color. It has big bones for sure. The nose is initially quite subdued with red florals, chocolate and dark, rich ripe fruit, though it is surely not over-ripe. Palate has some tannin but not a lot, good acidity and lots of density and richness. Definitely needs some time in the cellar. Despite its power it seems well balanced.
