May 25, 2023 - Popped and poured.
Deep garnet color; tart red fruit nose.
Soft, silky, voluptuous mouthfeel. Slightly overripe Black cherry, hard grape candy, with some interesting spice, and savory undertones (roast meat, in particular). This one feels fully mature, and I can’t imagine it getting much better. Not a ton of Brunello character, but it is a tasty sangiovese, nonetheless. Good QPR, and primed for current drinking. -

March 4, 2023 - Agree w/ TheBigJuan (2 yrs. later). Traditional. Nicely balanced acids and tannins. Good integration. Dried cherry, savory herbs, slight pepper and tar on the tantalizing finish. Stellar w/ food. Very good value. 13.5% abv. D/H.
