December 21, 2022 - Very nice wine, dark cherry, spice, nice acid balance, hints of sous bois I likely would have rated higher if it wasn't tasted beside the Roumier '06.

October 21, 2021 - Medium ruby with some bricking. Nose is very complete and integrated, palate has a sensual gravitas that assures you that you are drinking something of import. On night two, I would add that the texture is really the thing, sheer velvet, it truly is the iron fist in a velvet glove. Rich and powerful, yet lithesome and velvety. Loved this.

July 13, 2020 - Bit cloudy. Pleasant, but just not special.

May 17, 2020 - Given fair bit of air in bottle. Drank in Grassl Cru. Followed over 2 hours.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose medium+ intensity, with a bouquet of slight barnyard, mature earth, chalky stones minerality, sous bois undergrowth, rose petals, garden flowers, violets, red cherries. Bit of saddle leather. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), lovely fine medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of fleshy pure red cherries, chalky crunchy stones minerals, floral spice, nicely mature earth. Lots of sediments at end of bottle and last pour had black cherry flavours.
Very good quality. Good density in a very elegant package. Nose simply singing. In such a good place now.

    Tasted double blind.

Garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of saddle leather, plum and raspberries. Flavors of boysenberries, black cherries and minerals. Medium acidity, medium tannin, medium to full bodied. Drink or hold.

My guess was 2005 Louis Jadot Bonnes Mares. Pretty dang close in my book.
