December 16, 2022 - A lovely wine. Decanted it was smooth with lots of berry and plum with a little spice. Lovely mouth feel and one of the better Shiraz we have had of late. Went out and bought another for Christmas

January 13, 2021 - This Shiraz has all the delicious aroma to invite you to take a sip, there are milk chocolate, ripe black plums and blueberries, toasty coconut and sweet spices. But it is not in your face, everything is presented with colourful layers. Some may find this Shiraz wearing too much make-up. The palate is equally voluptuous and dense. It is almost opaque on the full-bodied palate. Beyond the ripe and sweet fruits, we have nice salty minerals and spiciness in the mid to end palate. Although the texture is silky, there is not much structure, I would prefer some freshness and more transparency to make this young wine more interesting. Some breathing will open the palate somewhat. The tannins are well controlled in a one dimensional finish which is very smooth and filled with vanilla nuances. If you like purity in your Shiraz, this is not for you. If you want a delicious and rich Shiraz that you can drink early without decanting, and not bother with the sense of place, this could be for you.
