December 3, 2022 - Sommelier recommended, this is from Chipiona, near Cadiz on the southwest coast of Spain. I've had wines from all over Spain, but I can't recall ever having one from this region. I quite liked this and it was a good pairing with our food - (rotisserie chicken, pork schnitzel, root veggie sides - comfort food with a gourmet twist) It's made from Palomino and Muscatel (from 45 year old vines) grapes. It's quite floral on the nose, with fresh white fruit and saline on the palate. It's a little cloudy, the colour suggests skin contact, and although not stinky funky (which we detest), there is a little funk on it, but nothing overpowering. Aged on the lees in neutral barriques.

August 30, 2022 - Another wine from this house showing brett upon opening. Maybe this is some natural wine showcase but its very distracting. On the second night this has receded largely yet not completely. Enough that I can detect a nice strongly lemon fruited wine with some depth and power. Reminiscent of profile you get from Sherries. I had another non-Sherry by the glass at a restaurant last weekend from the same grape which I enjoyed a good deal. Dunno what's going on with this house but I have one more and it will get popped soon given the performances thus far.

June 5, 2022 - At Cosme, cloudy yellow, natural and skin contact characteristics, fresh flavor profile sans oxidation, pleasantly tart and minerally, saline and grapefruited were takehomes.

August 17, 2021 - Short note - unclear/infiltered, nose is clean, roses, very floral, chalk, muscat, lime, aplpes, some herbs like thyme, palate is dry, medium+ acidity, long finish, well strucutred and balanced. A very good quality wine 90-91p
