Community Tasting Notes 6

  • Wine_Poobah Does not like this wine:

October 25, 2023 - The aroma is not pleasing to me - some red fruit, but mostly just stinky poo and barnyard. Rustic.
Earthy red fruit flavor with a strawberry finish. Medium plus acidity, fine tannins, balanced alcohol. Just not my cup of tea.

May 7, 2023 - Sunday afternoon (Chicago, IL): Very big and structural, especially for a barbera. Shows its ripeness in a generous amount of red and black fruit. Leathery tannins and a little bit of heat on the finish.

August 19, 2022 - Very muted at first, needs an hour to breathe.

March 26, 2022 - Dark and structured. Pair great with a grilled steak. Long and powerful on the finish.

July 3, 2021 - Just fantastic with so much depth. I'll hold the next one for a few years, if I can, I think it gets even better.
