March 23, 2024 - Pulled cork a few hours in advance, served from bottle. Nose of dark fruits. Blackberries, plum and vanilla. Very smooth and balanced with integrated tannins. Lush mouthfeel. Fairly long finish. Paired well with pork roast.

January 30, 2024 - Fruity, with a little oak. Good food wine. Best on first day.

June 2, 2023 - Seeking opinions here. I'm a big fan of the regular Booker wines; Ripper, Fracture, Oublie, and Vertigo are all excellent young and they also age well.

I do not enjoy the 22's as much. I even contacted Booker and asked if I should let them age for years but they said no, they were ready to go sooner than the regular wines.

For this bottle, the oak is in check (usually it's pretty heavy in the 22's) but this hits me as fairly sour, the finish is a bit off, and overall it's not the lush fruit I enjoy with the regular Booker wines.

I'd appreciate the opinions of others on the regular Bookers vs the 22's.

April 15, 2023 - was a bit worried that this would have too much oak based on comments here, but it seems to have integrated at this point. smooth and juicy.

June 26, 2021 - Cranberry, pomegranate, raspberry — lots of oak, vanilla, baking spice, clove. Medium acidity, kind of has that forestry quality. This is probably about as far as I’d go with the oak, it’s definitely noticeable.
