April 28, 2023 - A nice offering for a Cali Syrah. Agree this is more Croze than Rotie and falls right there taste and price wise. Drinking well with soft fruit and mild tannin. Not getting the smokey/meaty notes which is a priority for me. Decanted 2 hours but probably didn’t need it. Will hold some longer term to see if it evolves. 4.1 stars.

January 24, 2022 - The cool climate of the Petaluma Gap and the dollop of Viognier in this cuvee' brings a freshness to the Syrah that balances out the deep flavors and present tannins. Decanted for 2 hours, deep red color. Average aromatic intensity for this varietal with savory blackberries, sweet blueberries, pepper, stones and flowers. The fruit combines with the acidity for a full mouthfeel, medium tannins and a surprisingly short finish.

December 19, 2021 - Fantastic example of a copycat Northern Syrah, but more Crozes than Rotie (in imo) as it misses the floral angle. Balanced, rich, complex, and just damn delicious. Something I would buy and recommend without hesitation.

February 25, 2021 - Quite a good northern Rhone style wine, even thought it's from Sonoma! Plums, cherries, cracked pepper, nice roundness while still having some tannic backbone. Rounded out on day 2 as well.
